December 23, 2015

We have so many amazing relationships and rewarding experiences with our clients, when looking back on our history it is hard to believe we are lucky enough to call this “work.” Examining the past year specifically, it is especially hard to pick favorite projects, there were just so many. 2015 was a long-winding adventure through diverse landscape, and we just couldn’t resist celebrating some of the standout moments one more time as the year rings to a close.

Thank you for being on this journey with us, and to all of our clients who allow us the privilege of crafting media that celebrates their unique story!

2015 started off strong with a commercial photography campaign for brand new Flower Bar Co., who aimed to make a strong debut on Valentine’s Day as a manly man-friendly floral partner for special occasions and the every day. Partnering with other local Coeur d’Alene business locations that speak to the modern lumbersexual man’s lifestyle, we developed images that paired the creation of floral beauties with the crafting of local brews, handmade leatherworks, and the barbering arts. The result was refreshing, fun, hip, and handsome.

A dose of Southern California weather this time of year was lovely, and entirely necessary when shooting commercials meant to look like summertime. We had the great joy of developing two distinct broadcast and print campaigns for Georgia 811, educating homeowners and contractors on the importance of calling 8-1-1 before digging.

Our CEO, Megan Schuyler Kennedy, was recognized as an Emerging Business Leader with a Women In Business Leadership Award this March, and was featured in the Spring 2015 edition of Inland Business Catalyst magazine. The honor of being recognized alongside so many inspiring professionals and leaders within our community was an amazing experience indeed!

April was an incredibly exciting month, as we were awarded the now infamous Washington State Parks photography and video project, AKA the 58/25 Adventure.

Using sample shots from our very own Riverside State Park, we secured the opportunity to travel across the state to create a media library for our Washington State Parks & Recreation Commission… 58 parks in 25 days, living in an RV and exploring the beauty and history of our region for an unforgettable journey.

In addition to capturing the glory of our diverse parks in May, we took a break to come home to Spokane to capture a uniquely important event with the Spokane Valley Fire Dept called Fire Ops 101.

Elected officials, members of the media, and community business leaders were invited to participate and gain a deeper understanding of the responsibilities and the demanding skill sets necessary to be a firefighter. It was a day that challenged everyone’s assumptions as well as their physical and mental strength. It was amazing to be part of it.

Following nearly a month of living on the road, there was an extra sweetness to working with Justin Anderson with Adventure Sole RT. His exciting new line of rooftop tents blew our minds, and we had so much fun capturing all of their impressive details at sunrise to get his website populated with custom images. Expect to see more from this company, they are just getting started!

Celebrating milestones with our clients is always a privilege, and we especially enjoy when we can surprise our clients with a little something extra. While capturing testimonials for Dr. Rachae Bell and her team at Clear Chiropractic at their 2nd Anniversary celebration, we also collected thanks and well-wishes to put together a sweet compilation that captures the spirit of gratitude and wellness felt by Dr. Bell’s clients. We surprised her with this video the day after her celebration:

Nothing says refreshment like a glass of cool sparkling wine, and we had the pleasure of being surrounded by Washington’s very own Treveri Cellars’varieties for two days of shooting photos and video in August.

Learning about the pride and the process surrounding the sparkling wine was illuminating, and the team at Treveri was completely inspiring in the enthusiasm they have for their product and their welcoming spirit at the tasting room. Can’t wait to share more from this incredible Washington sparkling wine house.

Kicking off another school year with the inspiring educators at Central Valley School District was a joy, as this year’s welcome back breakfast event for their over 1,200 CVSD teachers, administrators, and support staff explored the theme “How Do You See the World?” and the videos to compliment featured High School juniors and seniors from around the district.

To see the supportive nature of CVSD and how that support is felt by its students has been exceptionally heartwarming.

We love supporting educational and historically important media initiatives, and it has been a true privilege to work with WSU and the Plateau Peoples’ Web Portal project to capture archival discussions and demonstrations, featuring artifacts and traditional weaving skills to help preserve for future generations.

We continue to collect important historic and promotional content for Steam Plant’s 100th Anniversary celebration. From interviewing the visionaries behind the impressive renovation of the facility into what we enjoy today, to recounting stories with past employees from when it was an operational steam plant, this piece will make its debut in March 2016.

Keep in touch for more details on this exciting Spokane celebration!

In the midst of the holiday season, it is quite easy to slip into nostalgia for all of the blessings and good times we’ve been gifted. We are making impressive progress on the remodel of our studio on North Monroe, as well as completing a number of ongoing video works that we eagerly anticipate sharing soon.

2016 is already shaping up to be a very exciting year, indeed. We just thank you sincerely for being a part of our journeys and growth in 2015, and we simply cannot wait for all of the amazing creative opportunities that are set to unfold in the New Year! What a blast it will be.

Merry Christmas, and a very Happy New Year to you and yours!
