Central Valley School District’s greatest strength is their caring and dedicated staff, and they wanted their community to get to know them better. Working with the Superintendent and the Director of Communications at Central Valley School District, we created a series of Web videos for them to use on their website and on social media to connect with their community. It began with a longer-form “Who Do You Think We Are?” video that highlighted several outstanding staff members from throughout the district and explored “who” CVSD is. The video was screened at their 2014 Welcome Back Breakfast to their 1,700 staff members as an inspiring kick off to the new school year.

Since then, CVSD has been releasing their “We Are CVSD” Web videos to YouTube and Facebook, getting great interaction with community members through likes, comments, and shares. The campaign is not only introducing their caring and dedicated staff members to the community at large, but it’s also disseminating the unique philosophies and personality of the district.

Featuring principals, teachers, coaches, secretaries, drivers, librarians, and others, the campaign gives an inspiring look into who makes up a school district and how much the staff members at all levels care about helping their students succeed at school and at life. This CVSD campaign is a great example of an organization using video effectively to tell their story.
